It was an event-filled evening. My son had an accident and we had to rush him to A&E at KK hospital around 10pm tonight. He tripped over something and went sprawling onto the ground, cutting his chin and splitting his tooth (it’s now scary looking and V-shaped).
When we reached KK Hospital, the first waiting room was empty. That was already a miracle. The last time we sent my son to A&E (he had cut his forehead and required stitches) we needed to wait 1.5 hours so getting a consultation so soon surprised me. Then when we got our number to see the doctor himself, they judged our case to be urgent and we by-passed so many other patients in the second waiting room and saw the doctor immediately.
Sitting with the doctor, my son was quiet. The pain had ceased (another miracle) and though his case was urgent, his chin only needed a good cleaning and his tooth will be tended to on Monday. So he gets to show off his injury on Sunday, something which I think he’ll have good fun doing.
All in all, the whole night was a real expression of God’s faithfulness and tender love. More amazing though was that I wasn’t badly frazzled. I kept reminding myself to guard my heart and stay at rest. I can’t do anything with my small hands. But when I cast my cares to God, His hands always mend and heal. He is the God of love. He cares.
And that’s what I wanted to share tonight really. That no matter what happens in life, remember this one thing: Let all that you are remain quiet and at rest before the Lord because your hope is secured in Him. He is your Father and He knows every challenge, every mountain that lies ahead of you. He’s prepared a way of escape and we just need to step back from being our own answer and solution. It is unnatural to let go, but if you’re facing something, try it. Let God be God in your situation.
He is our strong tower and those who run to Him shall be saved.
And that’s truth.

Amen! In Him, there is supernatural peace and security which nothing and no one else can give. Thanks for the sharing, really much appreciated
Hope dillon is well!
Amen. Hope never fails
Our God is a big God
